Take Time to Reset.
During a class today I noticed something interesting. Something that has been said over and over and over again but for some reason it just really struck me today.
Bring it back and reset.
It was the word reset that really made me think. After a warm-up, I was told to bring my hands back to my hearts center, to reset my mind for the hard work to come. We continued to do more and more exercises and then again, just when I thought that I was so tired and I couldn’t do any more (and I was about ready to stop and casually take a drink of water because I really didn’t know how much more of this jumping around that I could take).... I had to bring my body back to the center - mountain pose, forward bend - take a deep breath and reset my body and mind to prepare for what’s coming next.
I think that that is so true in life. When things get tough, you’re so tired and you don’t know if you can do anymore - it’s so important to take a deep breath bring it back to your heart center, or whatever being centered means to you (that could be meditation, exercise, prayer or just time alone to think in peace) and RESET.
It’s after that that you can truly be prepared to keep pushing forward the harder things to come.
